Talking With Elke Rautenberg-Wolffe - Director of Marketing Of Ledson Winery and Vineyards
Famously known as the Wine Castle of Sonoma County, Ledson Winery is an architectural masterpiece located amongst acres of vineyards. Its owner, Steve Ledson, learned how to make wines from his father at a very young age. Over the years, he polished his skills by working with some of the best winemakers and viticulturists around the world.
But with evolving times (including the ever-increasing popularity of social media and the outbreak of the pandemic), he knew his business needed to up its marketing game and bring in some much-needed innovation.
3D virtual tours served that purpose and even went beyond! With 3D visuals of the winery, Ledson was able to showcase his space in an innovative and engaging way. This allowed people to realistically visit it from the comfort of their homes and brought many other benefits to the business!

What do you love most about Ledson Winery?
I love our employee's incredible teamwork, delivering impeccable hospitality to our visitors.
What new changes has Ledson seen in the past year? What changes do you hope for in 2022?
We have begun booking appointments only for tastings so its customers can have more personalized experiences with their wines.
Why do you love working in the wine industry?
I love working in this industry because it’s a family heritage and something we, as a family, are passionate about. We started growing grapes and making wine back in 1862! Additionally, I love sharing a labor of love with customers and hearing their fantastic feedback about the wines.
Tell us one fun fact most people don't know about the castle?
What makes our company unique is that we don't think we have a job. It’s just a lifestyle we all love, and we are one big family doing what we love every day.
