Napa, California, March 13, 2019 — Napa County Regional Park and Open Space District has published one of the first virtual tour maps offered within a park organization.
President Brent Randol brought together the Board of Directors to approve shooting, creating and publishing 3D Virtual Tours of Bothe-Napa Valley State Park and neighboring Bale Grist Mill State Historic Park as seen in one of the cabin tours below:
“It’s an exciting time for virtual reality which is expected to grow from a $7.17 billion industry in 2017 to a $75 billion industry by 2021,” says Nancy Hayssen owner of Virtual Tour Maps.
The solution of 3D Virtual Tours provides a means to allow any potential visitor to view the park, cabins, and amenities from anywhere in the world — as close as being there in real time — informing and exciting people to book their reservations online.
“We were thrilled to help bring more visitors into these beautiful Napa parks by creating virtual tours. We could see the park needed a new solution – one tailored to the new generation of millennials many who love technology and travel, and the countless people of all ages who are online today,” says Nancy Hayssen.
The tours are viewable on Google Search, Google My Business and Google Maps - where 90% of local searches for local businesses start. The tours are also viewed on the Napa Park and Open Space website where visitors locally to afar can conveniently view the cabins from their smartphones and computers.
“We’ve had positive responses from guests that they previewed the cabins or yurts prior to reserving by using the virtual tours. It is a great resource to be able to refer visitors with questions about accommodations or layout at the park to the tours so they can get a real time view. It is much more beneficial for them to see, then to describe,” says Jason Jordan of Napa Park and Open Space.

Located in the Napa Wine Country, Bothe-Napa Valley State Park offers camping, picnicking, swimming, and hiking trails that go through stands of coastal redwoods, and beautiful douglas-fir and madrone forests.
The 1,991-acre park was established in 1960, contains over 10 miles of trails to enjoy, and provides 3 rustic cabins to stay, a swimming pool, common area and neighboring Bale Grist Mill State Historic Park.
Napa Park and Open Space is home to the farthest inland coast redwoods within a California state park - which can now be experienced virtually from anywhere in the world.
